Senior Android App Developer
Location: Remote
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile app development, with expertise in Android frameworks and tools. You will be responsible for designing and building advanced applications for the Android platform, collaborating with cross functional teams, and ensuring the performance and quality of the apps.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with outside data sources and APIs.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
Requirements:
- Proven software development experience and Android development skills.
- Proven working experience in Android app development.
- Experience with Android SDK.
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Solid understanding of the entire mobile development life cycle.
- Good understanding of Git and GitHub.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL and Aurora.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Lead Mobile Application Developer
Location: Remote
The Lead Mobile Application Developer will oversee the development of mobile applications and lead a team of developers. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in mobile app development and a proven track record of leading development projects. You will guide the team in designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with clients to gather technical requirements and turn them into manageable chunks of work.
- Lead the development of mobile applications from concept to deployment.
- Manage and mentor a team of developers. You will be also involved in the process of hiring and training junior developers.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mobile Application Developer and in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience with Android development.
- Familiarity with multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology.
- Hands-on experience with public clouds, such as Amazon Web Services.
